Integrated Avionics Solution
HSC is a specialized company in avionics area with excellent software platform technologies required for the future avionics system.
Now HSC is making significant self-funded R&D investments to further accelerate HSC’s in-house technology’s evolution towards the future platform technologies so as to get a greater share in the future avionics business.
HSC has provided mission critical devices such as MC(Mission Computer) where integrated modular avionics technology is applied as well as SMFD for fighter and rotatory wing aircrafts. Also, in the software area, HSC owns various solutions including partitioning operating system which allows one single device to operate on multiple device softwares; internationally certified aircraft cockpit display GUI(Graphic Under Interface) development tools; and international standard-based graphic library solutions, etc.
As the future avionics area is expected to be more software-centric, HSC’s airborne platform technology will form the foundation on which future avionics software technologies would be offered as open and modular services. To realize our vision, we are making our best efforts to keep up with global R&D trends, improve our technological capabilities, thus being well prepared for the era of the avionics platform.

Integrated avionics solution is the very essence of HSC’s next generation avionics technology. High performance modules for mission control, graphic, image processing, etc., are designed as a common module, which is to be integrated by high-speed network interfaces.
Heavy and complex avionics components are designed as a single modular form and their connections and configurations are simplified to establish standardized avionics systems. This change also allows for open, modular type avionics system where system performance improvement or functional addition/changes can be done flexibly.
- Multi-Core Based ARINC 653 Platform Software
-
Various IMA system configurations by using open VPX-based common modules
- ARINC 661 Standard Software for Aircraft Display
-
HSC is the 1st Korean company that achieved the highest certification level for airborne software development tools(DO-330 TQL-1).
ARINC 661 Standard Software is a GUI development solution by which highly reliable digital cockpit display graphic software can be written to support interactions with the pilot by using specifically designed authoring tools.
- OpenGL SC Graphic Library & Device Driver
- High reliability graphics library that meets specifications for Open GL SC(Safety Critical), the international graphics standards applied for safety critical areas such as aerospace or defense, and high reliability device driver to drive graphics library and graphic GPU. OpenGL SC Graphics Library offers the functions to draw geometry figures(point, line, plane, etc.) and to process graphic effects in order to generate 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional graphics on the display.
- Aerospace Graphic Cards In Support of OpenGL SC Graphics
-
Air/Defense-purpose high reliability graphic cards in support of ANSI/VITA standard OpenGL SC
As they were applied as graphic modules for T-50 exports, LAH and KF-X, their performances and reliabilities haven been well proven.- SMFD(Smart Multi-function Display) : Mounted on cockpit instrument panel to display flight or mission information
- SCDU(Smart Control Display Unit) : Mounted on cockpit central console to make data input or display for flight or mission information
- MC(Mission Computer) : Handles images and data information. Displays various images and information on MFD or HUD. Also supports weapon data calculation, fire control and system control interface functions.
