Medium-sized Combat Unmanned Surface Vehicle (M-USV)
The M-USV, as a part of unmanned systems, plays a key role in the future maritime battlefield environment. Equipped with advanced technologies such as multi-sensor target detection, situational awareness, mission planning, and path generation, it performs intelligent/autonomous manned-unmanned teaming and surveillance/reconnaissance missions.
Hanwha Systems’ M-USV is capable of sustained mission operations in open waters thanks to a hyper-connected network with a remote control station.
The ability for M-USV to autonomously perform missions without human intervention is a critical factor in determining operational success and survivability in future maritime warfare.
It’s core capabilities are built around multi-sensor target detection, situational awareness, mission planning, and path generation functions, which are then integrated with both engagement control systems and the Engineering Control System (ECS) for seamless operation.
Furthermore, the M-USV can assess the threat level of identified objects and execute engagement missions accordingly based on its onboard sensors and weapons.
