Hanwha Systems complies with laws related to domestic labor and strives to create a corporate culture that can be respected without discrimination against the human rights of all stakeholders, including executives and employees, through the operation of regulations for the prevention and response of accidents, the education of human rights and the implementation of mutual respect campaigns, the recruitment of the socially vulnerable, and the operation of a family-friendly welfare system.

We operate a fair and transparent new/career recruitment process to secure talented people in various fields, and we are expanding various efforts such as hiring non-face-to-face employees, operating a short-term internship system linked to recruitment, and hiring talented people with the capacity to link future new businesses.

Employee communication

Major activities and achievements
Supplier Fair Trade Agreements
To establish a fair trade order, Hanwha Systems voluntarily concludes fair trade agreements based on the Fair Trade Commission's guidelines with major suppliers every year and implements the agreements. Fair Trade Agreements are selected by comprehensively considering the previous year's business status, transaction volume, partnership participation and shared growth programs, and ESG management level, and subcontract fair trade agreements are signed with selected suppliers that include 'fair contract signing and execution', 'prevention and compliance with law violations', and 'Shared growth Partnership Support'. In addition, Hanwha Systems induces the use of the Korea Fair Trade Federation's standard subcontract agreement with first and second tier suppliers, and conducts monitoring activities on payment methods and periods to stabilize the entire supply chain and prevent risks.
Technical support - establishment of future millitech start-up cooperative model
We support to share ideas on innovative future technologies and discover new technologies by establishing partnerships with our partners through the "Connect: H" Open Innovation Program, which builds a network to discover and foster startups in defense technology innovation and win-win cooperation.
Financial support - the creation of venture funds
We invested 40 billion won each with the Military Mutual Aid Association in 2022 to create a total of 80 billion won worth of Millitech (defense technology) and venture funds in the field of the fourth industrial revolution. The venture fund, created by the Blind Fund, will invest in promising startups at home and abroad in areas in urgent need of securing global technology sovereignty such as artificial intelligence (AI), aerospace, UAM, quantum computing and cyber security.
Support for process management
We provide support to identify and manage risk factors that are not identified by inspection even after the partner's product is delivered to the customer through inspection and approval of the process of 145 special process partners.
Support for partner company's education program
We regularly conduct related education programs to expand the management infrastructure of our partners and improve compliance. In addition, through the "Win-Win Cooperation Academy," an online education platform dedicated to executives and employees of its partners, it provides about 500 micro-learning courses to 100 of its major partners and about 1,500 of its primary partners.
Support for employee welfare of partner companies
We are supporting the improvement of the life satisfaction of executives and employees of our partner companies by providing welfare points to 927 executives and employees of our partner companies through the introduction of a shared growth mall through the Small and Medium Business Distribution Center and the Large and Small Business Agricultural and Fishery Cooperation Foundation.
Support for strengthening ESG capacity of partner companies
We have established a support system for ESG management to help secure and improve ESG management capabilities by providing education, diagnosis and consulting services to partners who want to promote ESG management.
Sustainable Supply Chain Management Policy
Based on the spirit of 'Going Further Together', Hanwha Systems has established the sustainable supply chain management policy to build a sustainable shared growth ecosystem. The policy aims to enhance stakeholder value by establishing a stable supply chain that do not falter in the face of climate change, natural disasters as well as potential domestic and international ESG risks.
4 Guidelines for Fair Trade
By promoting the four guidelines for Fair Trade, Hanwha System will take a step closer to customer satisfaction by complying with the Subcontracting Act to prevent unfair situations against its partners in the course of any transaction.

We continue to carry out the work of effective social contribution by ensuring transparency in fundraising and execution through the establishment of the social contribution steering committee for a fair and objective system of decision-making of social contribution.
Social contribution fund
We are using it for the social contribution of each local workplace and the activities of various donations through the "Love Fund," which is the basis for the voluntary participation of executives and employees, and "Matching Grant," in which the company sponsors the same amount as the amount raised by executives and employees.

In order to create a culture of participating in the activities of social contribution with the willingness of executives and employees, we conduct a survey on the preference for the activities of major social contribution and plan a program of social contribution based on the results of the survey. In addition, we select and encourage executives and employees who participated in volunteer work as excellent volunteers on a quarterly basis, and actively support family-participating volunteer work.

We are a company in the defense industry and IT, and through the military, which is the main customer, and a social contribution program for teenagers who are future customers, we reflect on the meaning of patriots and veterans and support the improvement of the IT capabilities of youth.
Book Donation
for Military Service Members
Since 2016, we have been supporting the establishment of a library and supporting 400 to 500 necessary books each year through the Reading Cafe of Love so that soldiers can develop their dreams and visions for the future through books.
Support for Families
of Patriots and Veterans
We carry out various support activities such as improving the residential environment, supporting the outing of people of national merit, and supporting side dishes to help improve the livelihood and quality of life of veterans and their families.
Love Korea Food Bank
Since 2016, we have been carrying out a side dish delivery project with the Seoul Regional Veterans Office to repay those of national merit who have devoted themselves to the country.
National Cemetery Maintenance
In order to remind us of the valuable sacrifices of patriotic martyrs and the spirit of patriotism, we have formed a sisterhood relationship with the Seoul National Cemetery since 2011 and have been visiting and maintaining the cemetery more than twice a year.

We continue our efforts for the shared growth of local communities and businesses by operating programs of support and environmental protection for the vulnerable in order to fulfill our role as a responsible Community enterprise.
Hope Sharing Concert
We held a Hope Sharing Concert with the invitation of the bereaved families of the Cheonanham and 35 people of national merit, and expressed our gratitude for the sacrifice and contribution through music.
Bread of Love with Citizens
Since 2016, we have been participating in love bread making activities with the Hanareum Association, a consultative body of 32 partners, to deliver hand-made bread to the vulnerable in the blind spot of welfare.
Blood Donation of Love
Executives and employees of each workplace of Hanwha System are trying to resolve instability in the supply and demand of blood in the community through blood donation activities of voluntary organizations twice a year.

We are trying to contribute to fostering future talents with creativity and open values by operating online and offline drone production classes using software to bridge the gap in the education of underprivileged children.

Employment mentoring for enlisted service members
This is a project that has been carried out in conjunction with the Ministry of National Defense since 2017, and is a program conducted to help military soldiers prepare for employment after discharge. It provides expert lectures, mock interviews, and write a correct self-introduction to solve concerns about the employment of soldiers in the military by directly participating in talent donation activities by executives and employees. According to the COVID-19 situation, we were active online once a month in 2021 and conducted the program with a total of 500 soldiers.
