Environmental Impact Management
Atmospheric Management
We are conducting systematic management of air pollutant emission data by establishing a policy to minimize air pollution emitted from the workplace. We are making efforts to monitor emissions periodically and minimize emissions by setting internal standards that are 50% stricter than the legally permissible standards set by the government.
Waste Management
We are continuing to report performance in relation to laws, policies, and systems related to waste management. In particular, we transparently manage and disclose the status of Hanwha Systems' waste emissions through the Allbaro system, an integrated IT system that manages transparently and transparently in real time through the Internet in the entire process of waste discharge, transportation, and final disposal.
Water Management
To increase the efficiency of water use in each business, we continuously monitor and manage the data of water use.
Management of eco-friendly products and services
By re-establishing the Green Purchase Guidelines for 2022, we plan to put green priority in the entire process of production of products and develop eco-friendly products and solutions with our partners. We are carrying out various ecosystem conservation activities and environmental cleanup campaigns with stakeholders in workplaces throughout the region.
Conservation of the Ecosystem
Since 2013, we have been capturing disturbing fish species in our jurisdiction every year to protect native fish and maintain a healthy aquatic ecosystem, and we have been contributing to the conservation of the local ecosystem by conducting additional activities to eradicate thorn ash, a representative ecological disturbance plant along the Nakdonggang River.
Environmental Cleanup Activities
Executives and employees of the Gumi Business Site conduct purification activities near the Nakdonggang River every quarter, and events are held with the local community to commemorate World Water Day and Earth Day.

Expansion and investment in eco-friendly business
We are participating in projects that Urban Air Mobility(UAM) business, electronically steerable antenna for satellite communications, renewable energy business, hybrid power supply system, microgrid establishment/operation, energy management system, energy consulting/diagnosis and renewable energy manufacturing execution system(MES) to join in the government’s eco-friendly business and expansion of renewable energy use.
The Promotion of the Construction of Eco-friendly Infrastructure
We are reviewing the introduction of major renewable energy facilities from the design stage to promote the certification of eco-friendly buildings in the construction of the new Gumi Business Site in 2025. The newly constructed Gumi Business Site will be created by introducing and applying advanced technologies such as energy facilities (solar power), energy storage (ESS), water reuse facilities, and power efficiency facilities.
Activities to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions
We are working to establish detailed plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions every year and to reduce annual energy use through carbon reduction activities such as low-power lighting and the installation of EV charging stations.
